Jayne Coyle - Viola

Having Studied under Vicci Wardman at the Royal Northern College of Music, Jayne graduated with a performance degree on viola. As a freelance orchestral musician she regularly performs and tours with some of the worlds finest conductors and soloists within a variety of professional orchestras. These include; the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the Halle, Opera North, English National Ballet, Northern Chamber Orchestra, Manchester Camerata, Welsh Chamber Orchestra, European Opera and Camerata Ireland.
Jayne is also an experienced chamber musician, performing within and managing the Solo Players String Quartet, who provide live music for private and corporate events, as well as backing strings for commercial recordings. They have also been quartet in residence on numerous music education projects for the Society for the Promotion of New Music (SPNM) and the PRS foundation, working closely with high profile composers including Alasdair Nicholson and Deidre Gribbon.
As a founder member of Litmus, Jayne has toured extensively across the UK, France and Belgium playing electric viola. She has also played support to iconic band Durutti Column and performed at the Manchester 'In The City festival' and MIPIM in Cannes. She has recorded viola on many popular music albums, most notably the 2010 nominated Mercury prize Album of the Year, The Sea by Corinne Bailey Rae, and the platinum Mercury prize nominated single, The Man Who Told Everything by Doves.
