Damion Browne - Cello

Damion studied at the Royal Northern College of Music with Emma Ferrand, graduating in 1996 with a performance degree on cello. He furthered his studies with Gregor Horsch in Amsterdam.
He has since worked as a freelance musician with many of the countries leading orchestras, including the Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Opera North and English National Ballet, as well as smaller ensembles such as Manchester Camerata and Lancashire Sinfonietta, and has toured extensively with these orchestras.
As a keen chamber musician, Damion works with many groups such as Celloscope, with whom he has taken part in concerts and workshops throughout the country, and is a founder member of the Solo Players String Quartet.
